Flat roof problems – Leaking because they have been damaged by ice and frost

If you have a flat roof, you may notice that it leaks over the next few weeks. That’s because with the low night time temperatures we’ve been having, it’s possible that a crack or hole has been filled with ice repeatedly and so this expansion has caused the hole or crack to get bigger.

It’s often the case that ice expands and breaks the flat roof or makes a small hole much bigger. It’s the same as pot holes on the road. The frosts cause holes to get bigger – and in Reading, you can really see them!

So when it rains after a really cold period and you have a sudden leak from your flat roof, it’s probably because of the expansion of water from ice.

If you have a problem then please give me a call and I’ll pop over and give you a friendly fixed price quote.

All the best, Carl Clark, Park Lane Roofing, your specialist roofing company.

If your New Year Resolution is to get a new flat roof….

Happy New Year.

It’s that time when we write down a list of all the jobs that we want to get done around the house as well as getting ourselves thinner, fitter, more active, less moany etc!

So it’s a quick little note to say that if a new flat roof is on your list, then please let me help you tick it off before the month of January is even finished.

For a few hundred pounds you can have a new flat roof that doesn’t leak and will not let you down. It’ll be fitted by a specialist with all the right credential, and I’ll take away all the old roof and dispose of it for you…(at great expense now the Reading Council has upped charges for commercial waste!).

So please get in touch and I’ll pop round, tell you about my New Year’s Resolution and fix your roof…all at the same time.
